Keynua Relies on Cirion and AWS Cloud Solutions

With Cirion’s Cloud Analytics solution, the company gains greater visibility of its public cloud costs and can optimize budgets. Users benefit from streamlined and secure processes and signature of contracts.

LIMA, May 04, 2023 – Today, companies demand the best technologies to carry out their daily activities and offer optimal services to customers. This is the case with Keynua, a leading electronic signature services company.

Cirion Technologies has been providing MPLS connectivity services to Keynua Peru for several years. Through these networks, the American company initially connected its offices with Cirion’s local cloud service – Dynamic Enterprise Computing (DEC) – to host its virtual servers, where some of their services to state-owned entities are located. As the business continued to grow, Keynua decided to add Cirion’s Cloud Analytics solution to help optimize its AWS expenses.

Cloud Analytics is a SaaS (Software as a Service)-type product that provides a high level of visibility into customers’ service consumptions in the public clouds.  In such a dynamic and diverse environment, it allows them to obtain the information needed to optimize costs.

“Thanks to working with Cirion Technologies, we have clear and detailed visibility of AWS costs. Additionally, we can optimize costs through the data analytics solution in the cloud”, says Alfredo Granda, VP of Engineering at Keynua.

Oftentimes, when a company migrates its workloads to the public cloud, it loses the ability to manage and control its costs. This is why Cirion offers Cloud Analytics solution, which enables better visualization and cost control.  Cirion’s Cloud Analytics solution generates daily, weekly, and monthly consumption reports, alerts, forecasts, and creates budgets, allowing you to check how much is spent on each service, as well as providing cost-saving suggestions, among others.  In short, it makes it easier to monitor cloud costs to optimize your budget, which ultimately means better management.

“Through the different views and reports offered by Cloud Analytics, Keynua will be able to visualize every detail of the consumptions made in the different public cloud environments with which it works”, comments Gianni Hanawa, Commercial Director at Cirion Peru.  “This service facilitates management and control of the customer’s entire public cloud operation, regardless of the public cloud provider(s) chosen”.

“Cirion continuously provides us with a reliable and functional framework, allowing us to scale our business while maintaining the level of service”, adds Alfredo Granda, VP of Engineering at Keynua.

Additionally, Cirion’s Cloud Analytics solution enables Keynua to use local billing for AWS costs. Furthermore, considering the partnership between AWS and Cirion Technologies, the latter can provide technical assistance as a Partner – Led Support.

Finally, the executive emphasizes Cirion’s experience and its positive contributions to the business, such as cost optimization and constant same-language support, which he considers key factors in maintaining a long-lasting business relationship.

Cirion to Deploy New 20 MW Data Center in Santiago, Chile

The facility will be a 20 MW state-of-the-art, energy efficient data center providing critical colocation capacity to service growing regional demand needs

This data center will have direct fiber connectivity to Cirion’s existing ecosystem-dense facility in Santiago

MIAMI, July 31, 2023 – Cirion, a leading digital infrastructure and technology provider, announced that the company will commence construction of a new 20-megawatt carrier-neutral data center facility in Santiago, Chile (“SAN2”). Cirion is backed by Stonepeak, a leading alternative investment firm specializing in infrastructure and real assets with more than $57 billion in assets under management and an extensive portfolio of communications and digital infrastructure investments globally.

SAN2 is an expansion of Cirion’s existing data center footprint in Latin America and will be well-equipped to meet the needs of hyperscale cloud service providers, carriers, content providers, and enterprises that require scalable infrastructure. It is expected to be completed by early 2025 and will be built on the 23,000 square meters of land in the industrial district of Quilicura.

The new data center is strategically located near, and will be directly connected to, Cirion’s existing ecosystem-dense data center in Santiago located 2.5 kilometers away. It will have access to a business-friendly environment and renewable energy, with four independent metro fiber route entrances to the building, long-haul connectivity to major cities and tech hubs in the region and be in close proximity to international subsea cable networks to facilitate minimal latency between Latin America and other regions. SAN2 is well-positioned to serve as a critical hub for businesses in the region and beyond.

The data center will also enable businesses to build and scale their operations in a facility that aligns with Latin America’s sustainability goals, and Cirion’s Environmental, Social and Governance (“ESG”) strategy and commitment to technological innovation. SAN2 will have a market-leading PUE (“Power Usage Effectiveness”), consuming minimal energy, water and natural resources to reduce its overall impact on the environment. These standards were also adopted by Cirion’s recently announced new 20 MW data center facility in Lurín, Perú (LIM2).

“The development of this new Data Center in Santiago represents another important step in our journey to grow our platform of low latency, interconnected data centers and establish a growing digital ecosystem across Latin America,” said Facundo Castro, CEO for Cirion Technologies. “This new facility in Santiago reflects Cirion´s continued commitment to investing and providing our customers with the most comprehensive suite of data center solutions to support their digital transformation across the region.”

SAN2 will be part of Cirion’s larger carrier-neutral platform, which consists of 18 owned data centers around Latin America today. Customers can connect directly to more than 90 carriers and public cloud providers in the area using peer-to-peer networking through Cirion’s data centers, which also enable scalable colocation, cross connectivity, and disaster recovery capabilities.

Frost & Sullivan Recognizes Cirion with the 2023 Company of the Year Award in the Latin American managed SD-WAN industry

Frost & Sullivan Recognizes Cirion with the 2023 Company of the Year Award in the Latin American managed SD-WAN industry

Frost & Sullivan Recognizes Cirion with the 2023 Company of the Year Award in the Latin American managed SD-WAN industry

MIAMI, FL, May, 29, 2023 –Frost & Sullivan awarded Cirion Technologies with this year’s Best Practices Company of the Year Award in the Latin American managed SD-WAN industry, recognizing Cirion for its consistent growth strategy, based on a visionary understanding of the future and effectively address new challenges and opportunities.

Enterprises in Latin America are accelerating digital transformation initiatives, moving core applications to the cloud, and enabling work from anywhere.

Consequently, businesses across industries are embracing software-defined wide area network (SD-WAN) services as an integral part of their WAN transformation strategy, largely to gain cost and operational efficiencies.

Cirion captured a first-mover advantage in bringing to market a first-of-its-kind product and agreement package in a software-defined wide area network (SD-WAN) solution in Latin America, trusting that this technology would provide a leap in quality for WANs. Enabling the next generation of network optimization, Cirion’s SD-WAN empowers organizations with intelligent routing, faster branch site deployment, centralized policy management, and direct internet connectivity to public clouds and cloud applications.

“Cirion Technologies’ predecessor company, Lumen Technologies, was one of the first network providers in the region to launch a standard SD-WAN service. The forward-looking move back in 2019 demonstrated the company’s commitment to innovation and in addressing unmet market demands,” said Leandro Agion, Industry Director for Frost & Sullivan.

Cirion´s digital infrastructure enables SD-WAN users to construct secure private networks across a combination of public and private infrastructures, including site-to-site encryption, regardless of the underlying access or transport technologies. The solution enables centralized management and control for businesses to route traffic on an application-by-application basis or by access type, enabling the connectivity of sites through a variety of backbone connections.

Additionally, the SD-WAN solution enhances enterprise network resources with the capacity to handle multiple types of access, such as broadband, dedicated Internet, and MPLS.

As part of its analysis, Frost & Sullivan found that Cirion has a strong base of network assets in Latin America to leverage across the SD-WAN portfolio, has strong partnerships with leading SD-WAN vendors, and has its own VNF platform. Moreover, Cirion is a market leader in the B2B segment and can target a wide scope of customer segments by providing the choice to deploy services that best suit customers’ price points and application requirements.

Cirion adopts a flexible strategy for SD-WAN service implementation, by partnering with different technology providers such as Versa Networks, Cisco SD-WAN (Ex-Viptela), Cisco Meraki, Fortinet and Velocloud (as VMware), to reach customers of multiple segments.

The company’s SD-WAN service enable a new level of visibility and control over applications and traffic, prioritizing business-critical elements. Furthermore, the early launch of its SASE offering is a competitive advantage for Cirion because SD-WAN managed service providers must offer a clear roadmap to SASE.

This recognition by Frost & Sullivan validates our efforts to deliver a simple enterprise user experience with sophisticated capabilities and reinforces Cirion’s ongoing leadership in delivering a wide range of services that meet our customers’ needs, all while providing a high level of service,” said Leonardo Barbero, President & EVP of Products and Sales for Cirion Technologies. “Cirion is committed to accompany Latin American businesses to achieve their technological goals and continue on their digital transformation journeys.”
