Cirion presents SASE: always-protected network services

Solution offers architecture combining integral SD-WAN features with the latest advances in cloud security – simplifying operations, increasing productivity, and providing greater visibility of security landscape.

MIAMI, FL, November 7, 2023 – One of the main challenges for CISOs and executives responsible for organizations’ security is to ensure secure network services from any location where users can connect.  This is a growing need as companies increasingly adopt SD-WAN to optimize their network performance and new threats emerge beyond the established “security perimeter”.

With this in mind, Cirion presents its SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) solution, which combines the security and connectivity of WAN, LAN, and Cloud networks and remote access, in a single solution. It provides a secure and scalable infrastructure for accessing cloud applications and services, allowing organizations to efficiently secure and optimize network traffic.

Among other benefits, Cirion SASE delivers performance and scalability to optimize critical applications.  With Secure SD-WAN as an integral part of the solution, it adds on the benefits of zero-trust remote access (ZTNA) to offer granular access policies tailored to the user, device, location, and role. It also adds LAN protection and management, both wired and wireless.  Additional strengths include flexibility and visibility; connectivity and security can be managed from a single management platform, increasing productivity and providing a better overview of the network’s design.

In a staggering context – where cyber threats become increasingly complex and are multiplied in volume almost daily – this tool is essential to stay ahead of the game: continuous updates are provided automatically and controlled centrally.

The components on which SASE is built upon

Cirion SASE integrates various networking, data management, and security products so that companies can continue to lead in a dynamic and competitive world while minimizing their risks. Its components include:

  • Secure SD-WAN. The foundation on which Cirion SASE is built upon — network management for a hyper-distributed era in which remote work, edge, and ubiquitous access are imperatives. It provides link optimization, intelligent routing, traffic control, VPN capabilities, and application control.
  • Managed Secure SD-LAN and NAC. Comprehensive solution that offers secure LAN and WiFi network access from multiple devices. It provides visibility, control, and analysis of devices, minimizing the attack surface.
  • Cloud Security. Comprehensive protection of cloud environments, as if in-premises.
  • Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA). Centered on “zero trust” so users can access their applications in a seamless and secure manner, it also considers the location of their devices.

“The acceleration of digital transformation, the cloud, and the edge took devices, data, and applications far beyond the perimeter of the organization, implying new risks and threats that require the adoption of new strategies,” noted Alejandro Girardotti, Senior Director of Product, Innovation and Strategic Partnerships at Cirion. “With SASE, our aim is to integrate security and connectivity in a single solution, to minimize the surface of attacks and offer end-to-end protection.”

Cirion Forum 2023 highlights trends for the future in Latin America and wraps up with a huge turnout

The summit, held by Cirion Technologies in seven Latin American countries, brought together companies, industry players, and Cirion executives to reflect on how emerging technologies are dominating corporations’ digital transformation agendas and their way of doing business

MIAMI, FL. 01 November, 2023 – The summit Cirion Forum 2023: “Inspiring the Future: Scalable Technologies”, held by the company in seven Latin American countries, came to a close with more than 2,260 attendees, more than 70 presentations, and participation of 26 international speakers and Cirion executives.

The business and telecommunications meetings took place in Chile, Peru, Mexico, Ecuador, Colombia, Argentina, and Venezuela. After two virtual events, this year’s edition was live, bringing together a select group from each country to address four relevant topics of today: cloud, artificial intelligence, metaverse, and cybersecurity.

“Through this forum, we’ve been leading the discussion about technology and business for the past fifteen years,” commented Emilio Madero, EVP of Marketing at Cirion.  “However, this is the first time we’ve held this event under the Cirion brand, so it was important to understand and present how business perspectives have recently changed as a result of the emergence of new digital solutions and cutting-edge technologies,” he added.

To promote progress in Latin America through technology, the forum highlighted concepts such as resilience, adaptability, innovation, and sustainable growth as key factors for business development in the future.  Today’s corporate ecosystem was also analyzed, as well as virtuality and the growth opportunities offered by Artificial Intelligence (AI), Edge Computing, digitalization, and cybersecurity.

“Digital transformation represents not only updating processes, digitizing operations or following new technology trends, but also a real, short and long-term competitive advantage for companies,” explained Madero, from Cirion Technologies.

Cirion Forum 2023 was supported by important sponsors such as Fortinet, Hitachi, Ciena, Infinera, Lenovo, Service Now, TD Synnex, Avaya, Aruba, Eaton, Intcomex, Adistec, and Dacas.

Cirion and Cinema Máquina join forces to improve connectivity and interconnection of technological processes

MEXICO CITY, October 10, 2023Cirion Technologies, a leading provider of technology and digital infrastructure, has collaborated with Cinema Máquina, a leading post-production studio for films and television series with more than 12 years of experience, to improve the connectivity and interconnection of its content production processes, as well as to optimize processes in general, automate responses, and ensure a secure and seamless connection to the cloud.

Today, digitalization is key to cope with the dynamics of a company’s daily operations, meet customers’ needs and be responsive. Cinema Máquina’s need of dedicated connectivity and to produce and share large amounts of content was a challenge.  Cirion Technologies helped improve the company’s connectivity by making employees’ connections more efficient and preventing impacts from the lack of connection.

With Cirion’s technology, Cinema Máquina now counts on a 5Gb/second bandwidth link, supported by the company’s fiber optic infrastructure, enabling employees to connect remotely and accelerating the distribution of internal and external contents.

Cirion Technologies contributed to the company’s interconnection by maximizing its potential through scalable network solutions that enable smart automation, real-time data performance and dynamic bandwidth scalability.  Additionally, Cirion maintains data and applications secure in the main public and private clouds, avoiding risks.

Among the benefits obtained by Cinema Máquina are:

  • Greater agility to send content, maximizing the capacity and speed of data uploads.
  • Continuity of the company’s activities remotely, without compromising operations.
  • Improved hybrid and remote flows. Employees can connect without failures and use services in public and private clouds.
  • Optimization of the latest and most advanced technologies to improve performance and eliminate problems.

Over the last few decades, corporate network connectivity has evolved in tandem with companies’ dynamic needs and, as observed with the sudden shift to remote work in 2020, the evolution cycle is accelerating in response to the changing environment.  This makes interconnection more important than ever for a modern company.

“At Cirion, we want our solutions to help streamline the processes for companies that usually manage large amounts of data, such as Cinema Máquina, and improve their connectivity with cutting-edge technology while guaranteeing security,” said Jaime Durán, Director of Connectivity & Content Products for the Northern Cluster at Cirion Technologies.
