Cirion announces new POP in Limeira to meet the growing demand of the local market

São Paulo, June 12, 2024 – Cirion Technologies, a leading digital infrastructure and technology provider in Latin America, today announced the opening of a new Point of Presence (POP) for its network in the city of Limeira, São Paulo.

With this new POP, which adds to the more than 550 already existing, 125 of which in Brazil, customers in Limeira and region can directly access Cirion’s backbone, reducing the need for investments in interconnection networks and improving the quality and latency conditions of their networks. This is great news for the general market and a long-standing demand from local ISPs (Internet Service Providers).

Cirion’s backbone spans more than 90,500 km, including terrestrial and submarine fibers, crossing Brazil from north to south and connecting more than 20 countries in Latin America and more than 160 data centers, 18 of which are proprietary.
