Cirion Strengthens Regional Data Center Platform with New 20-Megawatt Facility in Per\u00fa<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Lur\u00edn facility will be a state-of-the-art, energy-efficient data center with direct fiber connectivity to Cirion\u0092s existing ecosystem-dense facility in Lima, and will<\/em> provide interconnect-oriented colocation capacity to the region\u0092s rapidly growing data center market<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

MIAMI<\/strong>, June 06, 2023 \u0096 Cirion, a leading digital infrastructure and technology provider, today announced that the Company has started construction on a new 12,000 square meters, 20-megawatt carrier-neutral data center in the industrial district of Macropolis in Lur\u00edn, Per\u00fa. Cirion is backed by Stonepeak, a leading alternative investment firm specializing in infrastructure and real assets with more than $55 billion in assets under management and an extensive portfolio of communications and digital infrastructure investments globally.<\/p>\n

The new data center is expected to open in the first quarter of 2025 and will be well-equipped to meet the needs of hyperscale cloud service providers, carriers, content providers, and enterprises that require scalable infrastructure. Strategically located in Lur\u00edn, the facility will have access to a business-friendly environment, renewable energy, diverse metro and long-haul connectivity to major cities and tech hubs in the region, and proximity to international subsea cable networks to facilitate minimal latency between Latin America and other regions.<\/p>\n

In line with the Cirion\u0092s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy, and the Company\u0092s commitment to technological innovation, the new facility will be one of the most energy efficient data centers in the region, with a market-leading PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness).<\/p>\n
