Cirion Releases its Second Sustainability Report: Committed to Responsible Growth

Cirion reinforces its commitment to sustainable growth and to the creation of a positive impact in its Latin America communities, while tracking progress against targets.

MIAMI, FL, December, 19, 2024 – Cirion Technologies today released its second Sustainability Report, which highlights the company’s ESG goals, sustainable practices, progress and its continued commitment to sustainability, ethical governance, and positive social impact.

Cirion’s 2023 Sustainability Report follows recognized international standards, such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations.

“Our ESG strategy not only involves reducing socio-environmental impact, but also the creation and commitment to a sustainable, inclusive business model, aligned with our corporate values and business integrity standards,” stated Facundo Castro, CEO of Cirion Technologies. “Building on the foundations laid in our first report, we have made significant progress in key areas, demonstrating our dedication to integrating sustainability across all facets of our operations.”

Cirion’s ESG commitments and achievements:

Carbon Footprint Reduction: Achieved a 17% reduction in carbon footprint through strategic investments in renewable energy and optimization of telecommunications nodes and Data Centers.
Increased Renewable Energy Use: Increased the use of renewable energy from 40% to 62% over the past year, reinforcing commitment to sustainability.
Decarbonization Roadmap: Actively working on defining a decarbonization roadmap and setting science-based reduction targets aligned with global climate goals.
Scope 3 Baseline Calculation: Completed the Scope 3 baseline calculation as a standalone company, encompassing the entire value chain, to better understand and manage indirect emissions.
Diversity and Inclusion: Promoted diversity and inclusion through mentorship programs and leadership development workshops, as well as empowering underrepresented groups.
Ethics and Integrity: Maintained a strong commitment to ethics and integrity, guided by strong corporate values, compliance, and anti-corruption programs.
Governance Structures: Ensured robust governance structures to uphold the highest ethical standards and operate in a transparent and responsible manner.
