This certification validates a robust design and reinforces the role of strategic infrastructure in the development of the digital economy. As a result, Cirion’s new Data Center in Chile will be able to operate under the highest standards of operational continuity and meet the growing demands of AI.
Santiago, April 29, 2026 – Cirion Technologies, a leading digital infrastructure provider in Latin America with more than 30 years of experience and operations in seven countries, announced that its new Data Center in Chile, SAN2, has achieved the Tier III Certification of Design Documents awarded by the Uptime Institute, a global authority in data center infrastructure standards. This milestone further strengthens Cirion’s carrier-neutral model and its robust ecosystem that interconnects hyperscalers, service providers, and enterprise Customers.
The certification confirms that the facility’s design meets high-availability requirements, allowing for planned maintenance without disrupting operations, thanks to full redundancy in power and cooling systems. This standard ensures operational continuity for critical digital services and high-demand enterprise environments.
Located in Quilicura, SAN2 represents the evolution of Cirion’s Data Center platform in Santiago, adding 20 MW of capacity in a hyperscale-class infrastructure designed to enable high-demand digital ecosystems and support continuous growth. In this context, it is part of Cirion’s strategy to strengthen digital infrastructure in Chile and across the region, amid sustained growth in data traffic, increased adoption of cloud services, the expansion of mission-critical digital platforms, and the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence.
“This Data Center is designed to respond to the new wave of demand driven by artificial intelligence: it not only offers greater installed capacity, but also the scalability and technical conditions needed to grow alongside our customers’ projects,” said Francisco Fuentes, Country Sales Director, Data Centers at Cirion in Chile. “It also incorporates a comprehensive sustainability approach, operating with 100% renewable energy and high standards of energy efficiency and responsible water use, enabling this growth to be supported in an environmentally responsible way.”
With this recognition, Cirion reaffirms its commitment to developing Data Centers designed to meet international standards and continues to advance its certification roadmap in infrastructure, sustainability, information security, continuity, resilience, and quality—further consolidating an operation aligned with global best practices. All of this translates into a certified infrastructure built to support the evolution of business.
