BUENOS AIRES, August 21, 2025 – Cirion Technologies, a leading provider of digital infrastructure and technology in Latin America, has announced the expansion of its Data Center in Buenos Aires (BUE1), the most connected in the region according to PeeringDB[1]. This strategic expansion reaffirms the company’s commitment to innovation and regional connectivity. The new developments, focused on high availability, energy efficiency, scalability, and security, will enhance the operations of both local and global companies, enabling a more robust, sustainable digital platform ready to meet the demands of artificial intelligence (AI).

“In Buenos Aires, we are executing a new expansion of our BUE1 Data Center, which will allow us to add more than 2MW of capacity and approximately 160 additional racks,” said Francisco Fuentes, Data Center Sales Director for Argentina and Chile at Cirion Technologies. “Our goal is to consolidate our leadership as the main carrier-neutral data center in Buenos Aires. With this increased capacity, we’ll be able to host more clients and provide the energy needed for their intensive workloads, including AI, reinforcing our interconnection position in Argentina,” he added.
In addition to Buenos Aires, Cirion has recently completed expansions of its data center complexes in São Paulo (SAO1), Rio de Janeiro (RIO1), and Quito (QUI2).
A Strengthened and Highly Connected Digital Platform
With 25 years of experience across 7 Latin American countries, Cirion operates 12 main carrier-neutral data centers, with 3 currently under construction, along with 10 edge data centers. The company is currently finalizing construction of new data centers in Santiago (SAN2) and Lima (LIM2) and has begun planning and pre-construction of a new data center in Rio de Janeiro (RIO2), with more than 60MW of capacity. All are designed to meet the growing demand for cloud services in the region.

In our existing data centers, such as BUE1, we remain focused on continuously improving energy efficiency.”
